Program Approval Forest Certification (PEFC – COC)

PEFC, the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification, is a global organization that promotes sustainable forest management through forest certification and the labeling of forest-based products. PEFC-certified sustainable forest management operates through PEFC’s validation of national and regional forest certification systems that have been independently assessed as meeting PEFC’s sustainability criteria for forest management certification standards.

This standard provides confidence that the forest and wood-based materials in products bearing the PEFC claim or label come from PEFC-certified sustainably managed forests, recycled material, and/or PEFC-controlled sources.
